The Socially Mobile class of 2022

It's results day for Socially Mobile. 16 students will graduate from the final cohort of 2022, making a total of almost 50 graduates during the first year of the programme.

We built Socially Mobile to help level up the public relations profession in the UK. A number of graduates have already made life changing career progressions. We'll report on what has worked and what hasn't in a transparency report in the first quarter of 2023.

The intervention to support the shift into management is critical for all public relations practitioners but it ia especially needed for those from lower socio-economic backgrounds, as well as under-represented and under-served groups.

If you know someone that might benefit from the programme please urge them to apply. You can't miss the button on the website. The deadline is 8 January.

Building Socially Mobile has taken a village. That village, along with our students, has become an incredible community.

Our heartfelt thanks to everyone that believed in the vision of the programme including our sponsors, steering group, assessors, teachers, and examiners.

Thanks to our professional body and trade associations, the Chartered Institute of Public Relations, AMEC Measurement and Evaluation, and the PRCA, for stepping up and supporting our students on their journey of continuing education.

Thanks to Thea Pinset our first office manager, and Beth Thomas, our programme manager.

Finally I want to recognise the energy and drive of my incredible wife Sarah Waddington CBE without whom Socially Mobile would be a bunch of Post It notes on our living room wall. I love you.
